- Vitamin D:
- Vitamin D has demonstrated its importance in every stage of life. If maternal levels are low, it has been linked to an increased risk of respiratory tract infections in infants1. In middle-aged adults, low levels have been linked to decreased leukocyte telomere length (an indicator of aging and genomic instability)2. It has even been linked to all-cause mortality in general3,4. That is why it’s ranked #1 on ATP+’s supplements for general health.
- Omega-3 Fatty Acids
- Heart disease is the #1 cause of death in the USA. Omega-3 fatty acids have been found to be protective of heart disease and stroke. Higher levels are associated with decreased rates of heart failure, sudden cardiac death, stroke, and myocardial infarction5.
- Probiotics
- The body’s gut biome plays an integral part in our health and wellness. Probiotics have been found to be beneficial for many conditions related to our gut, including small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO)6, inflammation occurring in women with gestational diabetes7, those who are immunocompromised (as in HIV)8, and in those who have taken antibiotics (which frequently kills off good bacteria in the gut)9.
