Dr. Austin Buchla, MD

Chief of Medical Supplementation

A first-generation medical doctor, Dr. Buchla completed his B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology from the University of Maryland – College Park. Upon graduating, he entered medical school and received his Medical Doctorate at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, MA. He then went on to his Emergency Medicine Residency at Yale in New Haven, Connecticut where is he currently a resident physician. He has held multiple research positions at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Tufts University School of Medicine where he received a clinical research fellowship award. He currently serves as a reviewer for the student British Medical Journal (The BMJ) in addition to publishing and presenting his own set of journal publications and abstracts at various international conferences.

In addition to pursing his residency in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Buchla is an avid weightlifter and has been a personal trainer for over 6 years. With prior experience as a teaching assistant in organic chemistry, he has a myriad of experience in teaching. Due to his love for both medicine and training, he has a passion for bridging athletics and science for optimizing health and performance especially when it comes to nutritional supplementation for both athletes and those recovering from injury.
